Read the permitted uses, content licenses and practical limits of MapRounds geography quizzes, maps and printable worksheets.
Purpose of the service
MapRounds offers free geography practice and printable learning material for personal study and small-group activities without an account. The service is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, deliver a particular learning outcome or provide an official credential. A practice score should not be the sole basis for an important educational decision.
Using and sharing material
Original MapRounds text and diagrams are available under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 unless an asset says otherwise. When sharing or adapting them, credit MapRounds and the original page, identify your changes and keep the applicable credits. Third-party maps, flags and fonts retain their own licenses; the site’s content license does not replace them.
Accuracy and geographic conventions
Each quiz states its included places, regional conventions and review date. Maps are simplified and may show generalized or disputed boundaries according to the cited source. They are not legal boundary evidence, current travel guidance or navigation instructions. To report a factual issue, include the page URL and an authoritative source.
Reasonable use
Do not disrupt the service, present its content as an official certification or use it to collect personal learner information. You organize printed group activities outside the app. MapRounds does not provide live multiplayer rooms, public rankings or classroom records.
External links and changes
External source links lead to independent sites whose availability and policies may change. Content, assets and features may also be revised. A substantial data update can make an older saved round incompatible. Check the dated notes when comparing rounds from different versions.
